Fatal traffic accident on the Kharkiv – Simferopol highway resulted in the death of two people.
October 24: Around 22:[00] on the "Kharkiv – Simferopol – Alushta – Yalta" highway, a fatal traffic accident occurred. According to preliminary information, the driver of a Mitsubishi car did not yield to a MAN truck, resulting in the death of the driver and her passenger, and a nine-year-old boy was hospitalized.
In the Kharkiv region, on October 24, at approximately 22:00, a fatal traffic accident occurred on the road connecting Kharkiv, Simferopol, Alushta, and Yalta.
According to police, a MAN truck driven by a 49-year-old man was traveling towards the city of Merefa. At the same time, a 36-year-old woman driving a Mitsubishi car failed to comply with traffic signs and did not yield to the truck when exiting the intersection onto the main road.
As a result of the collision, the driver of the Mitsubishi and her 41-year-old passenger were killed at the scene. A nine-year-old boy, who was in the passenger car, was also injured and has been taken to a hospital.
In connection with this incident, investigators have opened a criminal case under Part 3 of Article 286 (violation of traffic safety rules or the rules for operating vehicles by individuals operating vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Currently, law enforcement officials are investigating all the circumstances and causes of the accident.
