According to the Main Department of the National Police in the Kharkiv region, in the evening of October 13 2026, a conflict between a couple arose due to jealousy. During the argument, the man brutally beat the woman, inflicting approximately 20 blows to the head, torso, and legs with his hands and feet.
The woman died as a result of the injuries she sustained. After that, the man left his wife's body on the bed. The next day, law enforcement officers arrested him at his place of residence.
Under the procedural guidance of the Bogoduhiv District Prosecutor's Office of the Kharkiv region, a 53-year-old man has been informed of suspicion of intentional homicide (part 1 of article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The prosecutor will petition the court to impose a preventative measure on the suspect, which is detention.
