Lozova: Heating season at risk due to state debt exceeding 300 million UAH

In the Lozova community of the Kharkiv region, the heating season is at risk: employees of heat supply companies are not receiving salaries, and boiler houses and heat supply facilities have been forcibly disconnected from electricity. According to the mayor of Lozova, Serhiy Zelensky, the state's debt for compensating for the difference in tariffs has exceeded 300 million UAH, and the funds from the local budget are blocked in the treasury.

The heating season in the Lozova community of the Kharkiv region is under threat. This was stated by the mayor of Lozova, Serhiy Zelenський, during a meeting with the Minister of Affairs of Communities and Territories, Vitaliy Bezgin. Lozova is the second largest city in the Kharkiv region.

According to the mayor, the state's debt to local heat supply companies for compensation of price differences has exceeded 300 million UAH. Due to the debts, the companies are unable to pay for energy in a timely manner, so boiler houses and heat supply facilities have been forcibly disconnected from the power grid.

The local budget allocates funds each month to support municipal services, but it is impossible to receive them due to the blocking of treasury accounts. Employees have no money to pay salaries, although they work at hazardous facilities under the constant threat of shelling.

The community demands that the treasury accounts be unblocked immediately and that the issue of compensating for the difference in tariffs be resolved systematically. According to Zelensky, the community cannot manage on its own without state assistance.
