Loziv community in Kharkiv region: gas company is not approving the start of heating plants, heating season is under threat.

The head of the Loziv community, Serhiy Zelenskyy, stated that the heating season is under threat: the heating plants are ready, but the gas company is not agreeing to start them, and approximately 80% of heating facilities are without power due to debts. According to him, the community is owed more than 300 million hryvnias in state compensation for differences in tariffs; the authorities are preparing to appeal to higher state bodies.

The heating season in the Lozivska municipal community in Kharkiv region is facing significant challenges. This was stated by the head of the community, Serhiy Zelenskyy, in his Telegram channel.

According to him, the heating companies have fully prepared the boiler houses, but it is actually impossible to turn them on: the gas companies are not granting permission, the energy companies are switching to a "last resort" supplier at inflated prices, and 80% of heating facilities have already been forcibly disconnected from the power grid due to debts.

Zelenskyy claims that the community is owed more than 300 million hryvnias in state compensation for the difference in tariffs, and the treasury accounts are frozen. As a result, energy companies cannot receive support from the local budget to pay employees.

According to him, the community's internal resources have been exhausted: it supports the Defense Forces and almost 16 thousand internally displaced persons who have found refuge in the Lozivshyna region. The local authorities have decided to once again appeal to higher state authorities.

As a reminder, on the night of October 7, the Russian army attacked critical infrastructure in Lozova and nearby villages, and the residents had to switch to generators.
