The leadership of the Kharkiv region is working with the Ministry of Finance to unblock payments for the reconstruction of housing in Kharkiv and other cities in the region. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleg Syniegubov.
According to him, this refers to 400 million from the Fund for mitigating the consequences of armed aggression. Slightly more than 200 million are allocated to Kharkiv, and 190 is more than enough for the region, including for buildings in Derhachi and Izjum.
Syniegubov explained that the funds had already been secured, but the government had stopped all funding. Now, it is necessary to unblock the payment orders in the Ministry of Finance. The regional authorities are trying to ensure that the money is received this year, as the contractors were working on credit and need to be paid.
The head of the State Emergency Service has not yet been able to predict the amount of state funding for reconstruction in the 2027 year. He noted that it is unknown how much money will be allocated to each fund until the state budget for the 2027 year is approved.
