This was stated by Deputy Head of the Kharkiv Oblast Administration, Elena Logvinova, following a working meeting organized by Vice-Minister of Health of Ukraine, Igor Kopač.
The meeting included directors of relevant departments in the region and city, heads of medical institutions, and members of parliament. Special attention was paid to the readiness of backup power systems – discussions focused on ensuring the continuous operation of operating rooms, intensive care units, and diagnostic equipment, maintaining appropriate temperature levels, and stocking up on water and fuel in the event of prolonged power outages and disruptions to heating and water supply.
Currently, solar power plants have been installed in 22 healthcare facilities. By the end of the year, within the framework of the "Ray of Hope" project, involving international partners, including UNICEF and the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, it is planned to install additional alternative energy capacity. Participants in the meeting visited the Kharkiv Regional Clinical Hospital, the Kharkiv Regional Children's Clinical Hospital, and the Kharkiv Regional Blood Service Center.
