A deputy of the Izjum city council, from the banned OPZZ, Anatoly Fomichevsky, has been formally charged with a new crime – revealing the location of Ukrainian defense forces in Izjum. According to the investigation, in December 2025, he published a video with addresses of military positions, ammunition depots, and equipment. The case of the deputy's treason is already being considered by the court.

The Kharkiv Oblast Prosecutor's Office has announced a new заочну (in absentia) criminal charge against Anatoliy Fomichevsky, a member of the Izjum City Council from the "Opposition Platform — For Life" party, who is banned from holding office in Ukraine.

According to the investigation, while in the territory of the Russian Federation, in December 2025, he published a video message on Facebook, in which he disclosed the locations of Ukrainian defense forces, as well as warehouses with ammunition and military equipment in Izium. Law enforcement officials state that the public dissemination of this information created a threat to Ukrainian military personnel and the security of the state, and the enemy could use this data to carry out targeted strikes on the positions of defenders.

The suspicion was filed under Article 2 of Part 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – unauthorized dissemination of information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other legally established military formations, committed during martial law.

The court has recently begun to consider a case against this MP on charges of treason. According to the investigation, in September 2022, during the liberation of Izum, he fled to Russia. According to testimony, including that of the head of the Youth, Sports and Image Projects Department of the Izum city council, Maxim Strelnik, published in 2022, Fomichev showed Russian soldiers a route to Izum, and also provided them with information about local volunteers, ATO/OSC veterans, and law enforcement officers.
